Weekly Fashion Challenge: Green tribal top

I'm plunging right in to my weekly fashion challenge today with this green tribal-print blouse. I have always worn it with skinny trousers, so I wanted to do something different and try it with a skirt.

What a difference! I love this print against the black skirt and coral necklace. One of the things that has made this blouse tough to wear was its long, boxy cut, so I just tucked it in and voila, I have a waist.

I used to wear these shoes all the time but they have also been getting short shrift lately. I am still on a quest for the perfect pair of yellow heels, but these mustard ones will just have to do in the meantime.

Coral necklace: Gift
Black cardigan: JC Penney
Green tribal print blouse: Bag sale
Straw stretch belt: Vintage, thrifted
Black skirt: JC Penney, thrifted
Gray ribbed tights - ?
Mustard round-toe pumps: Carlos by Carlos Santana (yes, I know, how weird is that), thrifted

Don't forget about this week's giveaway — you can win this cool studded leather belt. Click through for details on how to enter.

  1. The rich color of the shirt with the color of the necklace and the gold in the belt is just scrumptious!

    1. Thanks! It's amazing how differently I viewed this top once I thought to tuck it in. Sometimes it's the little things that make a difference, you know?
