Green and blue

Recovering from a night shift last night — got about 5 hours of sleep, which is not bad but not terrific either.

You can't really tell in this photo, but I am actually wearing eye makeup today — part of my "feel bad, look better" strategy in which I tend to take more time with my appearance when I'm feeling lousy or tired.

I actually had this outfit planned for a while, sitting in my closet, and when I remembered that today was St. Patrick's Day it seemed like the perfect time to debut this green tweed mini paired with my vintage green polka dot blouse.

Once again, these olive wedge heels are kind of a lie — I actually wore flats to work because my knee is really bothering me today. But I liked how these shoes picked up the green of the skirt. If you've got a great green-themed outfit, or favorite green piece of clothing, be sure to stop back by for this week's Work It Wednesday linkup. You can post your link or photo starting at 1 p.m. Wednesday, and the linkup will stay live until Friday night.

  1. This outfit is so cute! I rarely feel comfortable wearing blue and green together, but you combined them in a way that I love. Your "feel bad, look better" maxim is similar to "feel shitty, look pretty", which is the version I've always repeated to myself :)

    1. Ha ha ha, love that! It's highly effective if only at distracting people from tired eyes and other symptoms of feeling crummy.
