This week marks the start of a new schedule for my family; my husband is going to be staying home with my daughter for a couple days each week, and I'm going to be home with her most Fridays as well. It's going to be an adjustment for sure, but I am trying to focus on the positives and thinking about all the fun things we can do with her this summer.
This morning she was feeling a little clingy and lousy, I think in part because she got a booster shot yesterday, but she perked up when she saw the camera come out. She's turning into a little ham.
One of the adjustments we're making with this new schedule is adjusting to having less income! So I am trying to hustle extra hard to get new stuff posted to my Instagram and Etsy shops. I am also working to bring advertisers to my blog (this has been on my to-do list for a zillion years), and of course, I really appreciate your support in all these endeavors.
Today's Style Me April prompt was "Statement Earrings," which kind of made me laugh because I have, like, 3 pairs of earrings, and none of them are exactly what you would call "statement" earrings. I have a sensitivity to certain metals, so I have to pass up on a lot of fantastic (especially vintage) earrings if I don't know what the metal composition is — it's really frustrating!
My husband bought me these a couple of years ago — they have copper wires, which seem to be OK for me. Oh how I wish I could just wear whatever cheap/crazy earrings I wanted to!
