Pop of Color

I will admit, I struggled with today's StyleMeApril prompt, which is "Neutral with a Pop of Color." Finally I just opened up my closet and cast my eyes around for something that would fit the bill. Fortunately, I happened to spot this dress, which I had set aside to model for my Etsy shop.

With red accents at the collar and cuffs, this shirt dress is perfect for this challenge.

I swapped out the original fabric belt for a red belt of my own, and added a red tie at the neck, plus my new favorite red-orange lipstick.

I wasn't quite brave enough to go with bare legs today, but I didn't want to wear tights, either (after this winter, I never want to wear tights again), so I reached for these gray knee-highs to go with a pair of black ankle-strap pumps.

Red necktie: Vintage, thrifted (similar in white for sale in my shop)
Gray shirt dress: Vintage, for sale in my shop
Red cinch belt: Vintage, thrifted
Gray knee-highs
Black retro-style pumps: Thrifted (forgot the brand, but they're super comfy!)

If you're participating in the Style Me April challenge, be sure to come back Friday for a linkup to share your favorite look(s) from this week. And don't forget about this week's giveaway — you can read all about it here. Hope you are having a great day — mine got off to a lousy start, but the sun is out now and I am trying to stay positive!
