We usually give my daughter a bath before bedtime. But last night, we decided to see if she wanted to do a shower instead. She was super excited about taking a shower with Mama, so off we went, and all went well — until we started trying to get her ready for bed. What is usually a 15- or 20-minute process dragged out over an hour and a half as we tried every tactic in our parental arsenal to get her to, in the words of the immortal Samuel L. Jackson, GO THE F*** TO SLEEP. And when it was all over, I learned exactly what happens when I wash my hair, don't use conditioner, don't comb it and don't put any products in it.
So if these pictures are a little blurry, and mysteriously obscure the top half of my head, please accept my apologies. It is what you might call a Bad Hair Day.
I was stoked to finally wear this pastel plaid blouse, though. I bought this with the intention of selling it in my Etsy shop, but I made the mistake of trying it on. It fits like a dream, and I just adore the colors. I added a pink scarf as a belt, and although I'm sure it would have looked great with heels, I decided to give my feet (and knees, and ankle) a break to day and wear moccasins, which I feel like fits in with the retro feel of the outfit.
