OTT: Floral print vest and vintage white skirt

I bought this craaazy, over-the-top vest in a fit of madness at a consignment store bag sale. Chalk it up to longing for spring — these bright candy colors just called to me.

Thing is, this vest really isn't my style. At least, that's what I thought when I got home and unpacked my GARBAGE BAG full of thrifted treasures. But I decided to take a crack at styling it, and with the help of this vintage skirt from my Etsy shop and the gray booties from my Pick 5 style challenge, I worked it out.

Note: Like most of them this week, this outfit is totally make-believe. I just put it on, took some pictures and changed back into jeans and a sweater, because I'm off work this week and don't spend a lot of time hanging around the house in getups such as this one.

I did have a lot of fun, though, playing dress-up and modeling some new and old items for my shop. I'm hoping to get all the listings wrapped up in the next day or two, and I'll put together a little shop update to share them with you guys.

Blouse: Tommy Hilfiger, gift
Vest: Olilly, thrifted
Skirt: Vintage, thrifted
Socks: Bag sale
Booties: Thrifted (brand unknown)

  1. Haha, I totally do the make-believe outfits some days! I mean, sometimes it's fun to get dressed up for no reason, even if you plan to change out of it as soon as you're done. I really like the way this looks! I have a skirt really similar to yours, so I might try something like this myself, even though it's not my regular style either!
