I Can't Believe It's Vintage: Striped top + floral skirt

I picked up this skirt at my local Salvation Army (thrift haul post yet to come) and did a double-take when I saw a vintage label on it. The print looked so fresh and contemporary that I had to have a go at styling it before it sells in my Etsy shop.

I am usually a chicken when it comes to mixing prints, but this combo just jumped out at me and I really liked it.

I broke ALL the fashion rules here by wearing black with brown, and mixing silver and gold, so I guess you can just lock me up in fashion jail.

Side note: This picture illustrates perfectly why I don't usually wear eye makeup. I have no idea what I'm doing, people. Also it occurred to me the other day that I might have better luck with eyeliner if I were willing to spend more than $1 on it. But that goes against everything I hold dear, so I suppose we'll never know.

Cardigan: Old Navy, thrifted
Top, belt, skirt, jewelry: Vintage, thrifted (skirt in my Etsy shop)
Wedges: Thrifted (can't remember the brand! But nothing fancy)
Total cost to me: About $12
