In the Pink: Vintage dress and blouse

How do you feel about pink?

When I was a little girl, I shunned it. Pink meant girly girls, which I had decided I was NOT. But somewhere along the line, I rediscovered pink. And now I kind of love it.

One of my favorite things about growing older is being able to change my mind. Oh, this thing I used to hate? Now I love it. And that's OK. Staying the same forever would, I suspect, be boring. And my motto is "Never be boring."

  1. This outfit is definitely not boring! I was the same when I was younger, no pink for this tomboy, but now it is one of my favorite colors. I don't wear it often, but I discovered that writing with a pink pen makes everything more interesting!

    1. Ha ha, no, it's not boring! Isn't it funny how our tastes changes as we get older ... if you had told 8-year-old me that I would one day love to wear pink dresses, I would have said, "BLECCHH!" and run off to go play in the mud :)

  2. I have rediscovered pink somehow, too. I didn't used to be a pink girl, even though I was very girly (I would play in the dirt in my dresses, climb trees in dresses, run with my brothers in dresses, whatever. In a dress.) but somehow in the last year or two I've started to love it. Although my tastes run more towards really garishly bright pinks or jewel-toned pinks than pastels. That dress is so fantastic, though! And I love the necklace! I need to up my necklace game.

    1. I DEFINITELY prefer bright and jewel tones, too - it's our coloring, right? It just tends to look better to me to have a bright color near my face, and maybe it's the same for you. But this dress is just so pretty, I had to play with it! I bought this necklace off Instagram totally thinking it was vintage and unique, because I hadn't realized they were super trendy, ha ha. I was totally shocked when I saw similar ones at Walmart for like $5 a couple weeks later! But I still love it :)
