Thrift Audit: Salvation Army, Aug. 17

Just a little mini haul today, but next week's is going to be a doozy.

Total spent: $2.56
Items purchased: 4
Cost per item: $0.64

I try not to get too bummed out when I go into the thrift store and only come out with a few items. I mean, better a few good items than a bunch of lousy ones, right?

Girls' floral skirt

Keep or sell: Sell
Join me in wishing this was an adult sized garment! I would totally wear this all fall.
Good or bad buy: Good buy — it is already at the consignment store.

Peach floral Loft blouse

Keep or sell: Sell
I am always drawn to this bright coral color, even though I don't like the way it looks on me. This one's headed for storage until next spring.
Good or bad buy: Good buy, even if I have to wait a while

Vintage floral drop-waist sundress

Keep or sell: Sell
This DRESS! I have been stalking it for several weeks. I love the border print, the piping, and the drop waist.
Good or bad buy: Good buy

Vintage brown calico fabric

Keep or sell: Sell
Does anyone else ALWAYS think of "Little House on the Prairie" when they see the word "calico"? Regardless, this floral print is charming (wouldn't it make a great blouse?).
Good or bad buy: Good buy

Overall grade: A+

I didn't spend too much, and it's all for re-sale. What more can you ask for? As previously mentioned, my next thrift audit will more than make up for this one's meager offerings, so be sure to check back next weekend for that. And coming up tomorrow, I've got a post I'm calling "How NOT to start an online vintage shop," where I reveal exactly how clueless I was when I got started on Etsy. Have a great weekend! And, as always, if you see anything you like pictured above — feel free to make me an offer!
